Christmas in Bermeo
Come and enjoy the Christmas holidays with us. We have prepared a lot of activities for everyone. We wish you a Merry Christmas with family and friends.
1. Ice rink.
From December 27 to January 5 in the Lamera children and adults will enjoy the ice rink.
The market is th best place to buy products to celebrate Christmas. Especially in our Christmas markets: local bakery, fish and seafood, crafts, preserved fish, cider, txakoli, sweets and cakes ... We will also have tasting of txistorra and txakoli, music, workshops for children and the visit of Olentzero and Mari Domingi.
3. Christmas concerts.
We will enjoy Christmas concerts of all styles: the students and the group of the School of Music, the Choir Rociero Maika, the Orfeón Bermeano, Izaro Abesbatza.. Music for everybody.
4. Water inflatables and sports activities.
We will enjoy with several Christmas tournaments, such as the Christmas Handball Championship (December 27-30 at the Arene Sports Center) and the Pelota Mano Christmas Championship (December 24 and 31 at the Artza pelota court from 17:00 to 21:00). On the other hand, on December 22 we will have a water baptism for children over 8 years old.
In addition, we will have aquatic inflatables in the swimming pool of the Arene sports center on 22, 24, 29, 31 December and 5 January, from 11:00 to 13:45. More information and ticket purchase: 94 617 91 80.
5. Christmas workshops at the Fisherman's Museum.
The Fisherman's Museum offers workshops for children from 5 to 10 years old on December 24 ,26 and 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Admission: € 1 / Previous registration
6. Pirritx, Porrotx eta Marimotots and Storytelling for children
As every year, the clowns Pirritx , Porrotx eta Marimotots will visit us. The youngest will enjoy the "Bizi Dantza" show on December 27 at the Artza pelota court. , at 16:00 and 18:30. On December 20 at 18:00 "Olentzeroren txapela" storytelling for children from 4 years old in the municipal library. Admission is free.
7. Olentzero and Mari Domingi.
On December 24, the municipal market of Bermeo will receive a very special visit: Olentzero and Mari Domingi will arrive at 11:30 am at the market. Until 2:30 p.m., they will collect the letters of children and adults and will take pictures with everybody. The market stalls will also be open.
In the afternoon, they will arrive at Atalde at 5:30 p.m. and will make a small parade to the Sabino Arana square, where they will be given a welcome party in which there will be a Christmas atmosphere with music and dances, as well as hot chocolate and chestnuts. It will be a cosy act with which we will enjoy children and adults and will last until 8:00 p.m.
The Izaro abesbatza choir will offer us a Christmas sung mass on December 25th at 13:00 p.m. in the church of San Francisco.
9. III San Silvestre race.
We will have the opportunity to enjoy on December 29 with an initiative that unites solidarity and sport: the III San Silvestre race, which will aim to help children with rare diseases and their families. The numbers will be € 3 and will be They can be purchased from December 20 at Aribike, Orain Bai Fitness Club and Intersport and on December 29 at Lamera, next to the kiosk.
10. The Three Wise Kings Day Parade
On January 5 at 18:00, the Three Wise Kings of the East, Gaspar, Melchor and Baltasar will arrive by boat to the Port of Bermeo, full of hope and gifts. From there, the parade through the streets of the village, in which they will distribute candies suitable also for celiacs. After the ride, the children will be able to take pictures with the three Wise Kings in the municipal library.
